"I am amazed" - 8 Year old boy, parent working at home from the book

From Robin Parker, mother of 8 year old Alan:

4 February 2003:

I found this site last week and was so intrigued I went out and bought the book. My son who is 8 was very smart, doing well in math and science but can't seem to get a grip on language skills. The book was a revalation. I guess I'm dyslexic to somr extent too because the book not only described my son to a T but me as well. After devouring the book I did a screening and Orientation training on my son.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!!

He is a different child already. Last night we sat down to dohis homework and what had been a 45 minute ordeal with me pushing all the way was 10 minutes of me just sitting and watching him buzz through it all. God Bless Ron Davis. I can't wait to see what my son will be capable of after we do the symbol mastery

TWO MONTHS LATER:

14 April 2003:

I AM AMAZED!

WE have been a "Davis" Household for two months now.

Slowly the homework battle is going away. It has gotten so good lately I have even been able to let Alan do his homework after supper some nights. YEA!!!

Last night I went upstairs and caught Alan with his bedroom light on. I expected him to be playing his gameboy or playing Legos....HE WAS READING! He had read 20 pages of the book we were reading before bed all by himself. Today he took it to school and came off the bus with it in his hands and was reading it as he walked up the drive way. I NEVER thought I would see this day!!!!
