16 Year Old Girl; Reading is Easier, Coordination is Improved

My daughter and I made a start on orientation on our own. We were successful and it did help but my daughter wasn't comfortable working with mum.

We paid for the course with a facilitator at the end of last October. It made a considerable difference, and we continue to see improvement, despite the fact that my daughter finds it difficult to motivate herself to keep up with the ongoing work.

Rosy's 16 now. Before she did the course reading was very difficult, now, not only does the content make more sense but she is happy to read aloud, something she would not do before. She has dyspraxia and this has been greatly helped. Her handwriting is legible, and now neater than mine, and she is finding it easier to play her violin. Before the course she suffered from scotopic sensitivity syndrome, now the words will stay still on the page unless she wants to let them move about. It has given her a way to make sense of spelling so her spelling is slowly improving (it would be faster if I could get her to do more words). She no longer walks into the door or falls up the stairs as often as she used to. She has fewer temper tantrums and can, to a certain extent, control her stress levels. Most of all she believes in herself.
